Amy entered the world of real estate in 2002 after taking maternity leave from a role in a big 4 accounting firm. Amy was looking for an interesting new challenge with flexible working hours and variety. Real estate offered all of that with a twist of Law. Problem solving is her passion and this is where she feels her skills are best utilised to help others, stay challenged/interested and fulfil her personal growth. After seven years working as a residential sales representative Amy & partner Andrew opened their Ray White business in the City of Belmont. Some eight years later the business is thriving, having organically grown to 500 property managements and leads residential sales in the area. This is all due to enthusiastic team work, hard work, consistency and integrity. So much of real estate success lies in a strong mindset (helped along with a competitive streak).
Favourite part about working for Ray White – working with a great team of people, solving challenges, helping people move forward with plans, every day has variety! Being invited into people’s lives is humbling and rewarding.
What has your time at Ray White taught you? Real estate is all about people, relationship and trust is everything.
Workwise, what are you passionate about? Fairness, team culture, enthusiasm, systems, technology, reducing risk, maximising value. But ultimately it’s about results, runs on the board and customer satisfaction.
Next step on the yellow ladder? Big question, maybe further studies in Law (secretly aspire to be Judge Judy) but right now will settle for growing the business, growing the people in the business and providing the best service possible to clients.
What do you get up to outside of Ray White? A self-confessed workaholic but like to travel, eat out and visit Margaret River with family and two small dogs.
Most embarrassing Ray White moment? Too many to talk about but as long as we learn from them and put structure in place so they don’t happen a 2nd time it’s all ok!
Most epic Ray White experience? Receiving positive client feedback is always a huge buzz but a letter from a departing team member thankful for the opportunity to work with Ray White for two years takes the prize. As a single mum Sam had interviewed over 20 times before being employed by us. We sometimes have no idea of the impact we have on other people and their lives
When you were a kid you: were a tomboy raised in county NZ, horse crazy and also into tramping, camping, playing hockey and swimming
